Autry National Center: the Museum of the American West
Celebrating Our Heritage, a California Bountiful event at The Autry National Center located in Griffith Park across from the Los Angeles Zoo, Saturday, December 1, 2012, 6 p.m. – 9:30 p.m.
Join us for this unique California Bountiful event "Celebrating Our Heritage," at the spectacular Autry National Center of the American West at Griffith Park. This world class-museum features galleries showcasing works by Remington, Russell and many other Western artists along with a Hollywood gallery, a special exhibit on the Colt revolver in the American West, children's activity areas and much more.
The entire museum has been reserved for Farm Bureau and the gift shop will be open. The Autry Store carries a vast array of unique items from books to music, jewelry and fine art, perfect for Christmas gifts. The shop is open to Farm Bureau members only. Parking is free although bus transportation to and from the hotel is available. The event will include light appetizers and a cash bar. Children and families are welcome. Buses will return to the hotels beginning at 7:30 p.m. and continue until 9:30 p.m. Cost is $28 for adults; children are free. Available to the first 55 members to register for the tour, you will begin by participating in an exclusive, behind-the-scenes tour of more than 10 actual Rose Parade floats under construction and in the final preparations for the world-famous, 2013 Tournament of Roses Parade. Fiesta Parade Floats will provide a personal guided tour of these artistic masterpieces. Fiesta Parade Floats is the preeminent float design company and has won more awards than any of its competitors. After this event, you will proceed to the Rose Bowl for a full tour and lunch. The Rose Bowl tour package includes the Fiesta Parade Floats, the Rose Bowl Tour, lunch at the Rose Bowl and transportation.
