Igloo cooler with heat-safety information
Each time a farm employee removes a cone paper cup from the dispenser and sips water at the water cooler, he's taking one of several measures to prevent heat illness. Employees can now be reminded of several ways to stay safe while working in the heat, thanks to specially imprinted Igloo coolers offered by the California Farm Bureau Federation and the Farm Employers Labor Service.
CFBF and FELS recently partnered with Igloo and Anderson Marketing to develop a discount for 10-gallon and 5-gallon water coolers for its members and subscribers. Printed in both Spanish and English, each cooler offers the following reminders to prevent heat illness: drink cool water frequently, rest in shade, wear proper clothing, watch for heat illness symptoms and know your emergency procedures.
