Governor’s Action List:
AB 48 (Lieber, D-Mountain View), which would have increased the State Minimum Wage, was vetoed.
SB 820 (Kuehl, D-Santa Monica), which would have mandated statewide reporting of groundwater use to the water rights regulators at the State Water Resources Control Board, was vetoed.
AB 1011 (Matthews, D-Tracy), which will help insure a fair and open marketplace for plant protection tools in California was signed.
SB 455 (Escutia, D-Whittier) that would have expanded the causes of action to impose civil penalties for pesticide violations was vetoed.
AB 365 (Salinas, D-Salinas), which established greenhouse agriculture as a statutorily declared “agricultural use” was signed.
AB 755 (Hector De La Torre, D-Southgate) that would have required employees working on a piece-rate basis in the agricultural and garment industries be paid wages on top of their piece-rate earnings for rest periods was vetoed.
SB 453 (Poochigian, R-Fresno), which extends the Central Valley Rural Crime Prevention Program, was signed.
AB 1058 (Koretz, D-Hollywood), which would have created a California-only BSE labeling program, was vetoed.
SB 600 (Ortiz, D-Sacramento), a biomonitoring bill, was vetoed.
SB 1061 (Committee on Agriculture), which improves the business climate for family farmers by ensuring that they receive payment for their products, was signed.
AB 826 (Nava, D-Santa Barbara), the California Farm to School Nutrition Improvement Program, was vetoed.
SB 281 (Maldonado, R-Santa Maria), California Fresh Start Program, was signed.
AB 1328 (Wolk, D-Davis), the bill declaring a 31-mile stretch of Cache Creek in Yolo and Lake Counties a part of the State Wild and Scenic Rivers system, was signed.
AB 1747 (Wolk, D-Davis), the joint powers agreement bill, was vetoed.
