Rhonda Asher

A respected graphics designer has been promoted to manager of design services for the California Farm Bureau Federation. Rhonda Asher oversees the design of a variety of print projects, including the Farm Bureau weekly newspaper Ag Alert® and bimonthly magazine California Country®.

Asher joined the Farm Bureau staff in 1982 as art director and has adapted to rapidly changing graphics and computer technologies throughout her tenure. Most recently, she oversaw a redesign of Ag Alert, the most widely read agricultural publication in California, and personally designed the newspaper's new logo.

"Rhonda's talent shines through in the creative, colorful design of our publications," CFBF Communications/News Division Manager Ann Schmidt-Fogarty said. "We are certain Rhonda's work was one of the main reasons the American Farm Bureau honored Ag Alert as the best agricultural newspaper in the country this year."

Asher supervises a staff of three graphic artists who design the publications, plus brochures, advertisements and other media materials produced by the state's largest farm organization.

A resident of Folsom, Asher earned a degree in graphic design from Allan Hancock Junior College in Santa Maria.

The California Farm Bureau Federation works to protect family farms and ranches on behalf of more than 88,000 members statewide.
