Bringing more than 25 years of experience as a certified public accountant and financial adviser, Lori Pommerenck has joined the California Farm Bureau Federation as controller.
Pommerenck will manage the CFBF Financial Services, Membership and Central Services departments. Her responsibilities include preparation of the organization's financial reports, coordination of tax filings, and oversight of the membership dues processing and customer service activities as well as other duties.
A graduate of California State University, Sacramento, Pommerenck was most recently the director of finance for the Squaw Valley ski resort, where she helped develop and introduce new technologies to streamline ticket purchasing. Prior to Squaw Valley, Pommerenck served as controller for an association management company based in Sacramento.
She and her husband farm almonds in Sutter County and, in addition to managing the family farm's accounting activities, Pommerenck has provided tax preparation and financial planning services to other farmers and ranchers.
"With her accounting expertise and firsthand experience in agriculture, Lori brings a valuable combination of skills," CFBF President Paul Wenger said. "We look forward to benefiting from the talent and knowledge she'll bring on behalf of Farm Bureau members."
The California Farm Bureau Federation works to protect family farms and ranches on behalf of more than 74,000 members statewide and as part of a nationwide network of more than 6.2 million Farm Bureau members.
