The Policy Advocacy team at California Farm Bureau is actively seeking a part-time intern. This internship is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in policy advocacy, event coordination, and communications. You will work closely with our Policy Advocacy team to support key initiatives and develop practical skills applicable to a variety of professional paths.

Our Policy Advocacy team works at the forefront of legislative engagement, event planning, and communications to support our mission. We are looking for a motivated Sacramento State student to join our team as a part-time intern.
Key Responsibilities:
- Scheduling Legislative Visits: Assist in coordinating meetings with legislators and stakeholders, maintaining schedules, and preparing briefing materials.
- Newsletter Publishing: Contribute to the creation and distribution of our newsletter, including drafting content, formatting, and ensuring timely delivery.
- Event Planning: Support the organization and execution of events, including logistics, outreach, and on-site coordination.
- Administrative Support: Perform general administrative tasks to ensure smooth operations within the team.
Qualifications:
- Current enrollment as a student at California University.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Interest in policy advocacy, public affairs, or event coordination is a plus.
Position Details:
- Hours: Approximately 20 hours per week, flexible schedule to accommodate academic commitments.
- Compensation: $16.50 per hour
- Location: Sacramento, CA (hybrid or in-office depending on organizational needs).
