On Wednesday, California Farm Bureau joined a [coalition letter](https://mura.cfbf.com/sites/cfbv2/assets/Image/FINAL-SIGNED-Coalition-FY26-Senate-EnergyWater-Approps-Letter.pdf) of support for several provisions in the House’s 2026 Energy and Water Development appropriations bill. This includes support for the WaterSMART program and boosting the Aging Infrastructure Account, which helps redevelop and improve existing water security and infrastructure projects. These issues remain a top priority for many western states, where reliable water supplies and resilient infrastructure are critical to our industry.
