USDA Published Interim Final Rule Clarifying Wetland Determinations
Published Friday, July 31, 2026
On Wednesday, the U.S. Department of Agriculture announced new clarifying guidance on wetland determinations. The interim final rule would ensure that all wetland determinations issued after Nov. 28, 1990, will remain certified if the producer was notified of the determinations and if they were given appeal rights at the time. Wetland designations impact eligibility for farm loans, conservation assistance, crop insurance and commodity programs. Potentially impacted members are encouraged to click above to learn more.
