Central Coast Regional Water Board Releases Amended Ag Order 4.0 and Proposed Alternative Water Supply Program

On May 26, the Central Coast Regional Water Quality Control Board released its proposed amended Ag Order 4.0 and Alternative Water Supply Program. Ag Order 4.0 applies to irrigated lands within the Central Coast. The amended Ag Order 4.0 incorporates changes responsive to the California State Water Resources Control Board’s remand directions in Order WQ 2023-0081 and includes proposed Drinking Water Solutions Program regulatory requirements related to the development of an Alternative Water Supply Program funded by growers.
