The U.S. Bureau of Land Management announced earlier this week that nominations are open for those interested in serving on regional resource advisory councils. Council members meet virtually at least once a year and provide BLM officials with advice on initiatives, regulations and policies that impact millions of acres of public lands. California is currently served by three resource advisory councils: Northern California, Central California and the California Desert District. BLM is looking for individuals with a wide range of public- and private-sector experience, including ranchers and federal grazing permittees.
