California Farm Bureau is leading the efforts to ensure that farmers have access to precision technology. The recent signing of AB 1016 allows farmers to access expedited training and licensing programs for drone use for pesticide applicators. Authorizing the Department of Pesticide Regulations (DPR) to approve training programs for aerial pesticide applicator licensing.
Access and adoption to precision agriculture technology is vital for California's farmers to continue producing the country's fresh fruits, nuts, and vegetables while using fewer inputs - less water, fertilizers, and pesticides.
